Re-Elect Ken Henderson for Towns County Sheriff

I am honored to serve as your Sheriff and I will continue to work hard each day to keep our community safe. I am officially announcing my intention to run for re-election in 2024. 

As your Sheriff, I have stayed true to my words that I spoke while earning your vote in the last election. Promises Made and Promises Kept. As promised, I have been a working Sheriff alongside my deputies, investigators, and drug agents, as well as with other agencies. Through this, a dedicated, trained, and hard working Sheriffs Department has been established. I have also implemented safety programs such as Community Watch and Sheriff Law Enforcement Academy. 

The mission to work on the drug crisis within the county has been and is continuing to be successful due to proper training, concentrated patrol, and the hiring of a qualified drug agent. Within 2 ½ years into office, my team and I have made 250 drug arrest. Although my department and I have made huge gains in the drug crisis within our county, this is still a huge issue in which I plan to continue to work on  daily. This issue is ongoing and will continue to be a huge focus if reelected. As promised, I have targeted this issue within the county and implemented a great trained staff to help remove drugs from our county. 

Throughout my prior campaign, I promised to be a working Sheriff that would serve and protect the citizens of Towns County. I stand by my words and placed them into action. I have maintained a open door policy, been accessible either in person or by phone, and have been transparent to ensure communication with the community.

Being the Sheriff of Towns County has been one of the most honorable and rewarding positions that I have been fortunate to hold. Promises Made, Promises Kept. I am seeking reelection to continue to protect and serve the great citizens of Towns County. 

 

Why am I seeking Re-Election?

If you reelect me, I will continue to stand by my word, be visible, and work hard for each of you everyday. I will continue to be a working Sheriff alongside my officers, always on the job and always available to you. I will take your phone calls and re-turn the ones I miss in a timely manner. I will maintain that every officer in our department have the most up to date law enforcement training and equipment in order to ensure that our citizens, schools, churches, and businesses are kept safe. I will not tolerate illegal activity in our county, whether it be drug activity or otherwise, and I will continue to support and help my deputies and drug agents to serve, protect, and work drugs in our county. I will continue each day to work hard and keep the citizens of Towns County safe. I appreciate your support.
